Who it’s for:
Children aged 5–7 who can read short sentences and write short phrases. This is their first year in a formal Islamic class, with little or no prior knowledge about Allah, Islam, the Qur’an, or the Messenger ﷺ.
Purpose & Approach:
Introduces the fundamentals of Islam in a simple, enjoyable, and age-appropriate way.
Builds a strong foundation for future learning in higher levels.
Keeps lessons short and engaging to match young learners’ attention spans.

Coloring Activity – Helps students settle in before the lesson.
Short Lessons – Introduce 2–3 concepts using small paragraphs.

Some activities and assignments are provided in the Islamic Studies Level 1 (Revised & Enlarged Edition) textbook.
Who it’s for:
Children aged 8–10 who have completed Level 1 or have a similar foundational knowledge of Islam. This is their second year in a formal Islamic class.
Purpose & Approach:
Builds upon the fundamentals learned in Level 1.
Presents lessons thematically in distinct units for deeper understanding.
Keeps sessions engaging with short lessons and interactive reviews.
Unit 1 – The Creator & His Message
Understanding Allah, Islam, faith (iman), and the Qur’an.
Unit 2 – Our Ibadat
Focus on the Five Pillars of Islam.
Unit 3 – Stories of the Messengers
Key lessons from the lives of selected Prophets.
Unit 4 – Islamic Knowledge for Everyday Life
Relevant basics of Islam for this age group.
Unit 5 – Adab & Akhlaq
Proper manners and morals from the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah.
Coloring Activity – Helps students settle in before the lesson.
Short Lessons – Introduce 2–3 concepts using brief, clear paragraphs.

Children aged 11–13 who have completed Level 2 or have a similar knowledge base of Islam. This is their third year in a formal Islamic class.
Purpose & Approach:
Expands on concepts learned in previous levels with deeper detail and practical application.
Encourages students to understand the meaning and purpose behind Islamic practices.
Continues using thematic units for structured learning.
Unit 1 – Understanding Worship
Why we worship Allah.
Reasons for prescribed forms of worship.
Unit 2 – Strengthening Iman
Qualities of faith.
Additional duties Allah expects beyond ritual worship.
Unit 3 – The Life of Nabi Muhammad ﷺ
Makkah period.
Madinah period.
Unit 4 – History of the Messengers
Brief accounts of selected Prophets’ lives.
Unit 5 – Adab & Akhlaq
Continued study of manners and morals in Islam.

Who it’s for:
Students aged 14-17 who have completed Level 3 or have a similar knowledge base of Islam. This is their third or fourth year in a formal Islamic class.
Purpose & Approach:
Focuses on mature understanding of Islamic duties, history, and moral character.
Prepares students for the practical application of Islamic principles as young adults.
Unit 1 – Fiqh of Salāt
Rules and requirements of prayer as ritual duties become obligatory.
Unit 2 – The Four Khulafā’
In-depth study of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali (RA) and their contributions to Islam.
Unit 3 – Moral Building
Lessons to strengthen Islamic character and values.
Unit 4 – Learning About Allah & Nabi Muhammad ﷺ
Exploring divine attributes and deeper aspects of the Prophet’s life.
Unit 5 – Islam’s Transformation of Arabia
How Islam changed society before and after the Prophet ﷺ received revelation.
Assignments and exercises are included in the Islamic Studies Level 4 textbook.
